SAMPLE ITINERY
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Serengeti National Park
Arrival in Tanzania
Your safari begins with your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). After clearing customs, you’ll be greeted by your safari guide and transferred to your accommodation. Depending on your flight time, you might start your journey towards. Serengeti National Park immediately or spend a night in Arusha.
Transfer to Serengeti National Park
The journey to Serengeti National Park involves a scenic drive or a short domestic flight from Arusha. The drive provides a chance to appreciate the changing landscapes as you travel from the lush surroundings of Arusha to the vast plains of Serengeti.
Evening Game Drive
Upon arrival at Serengeti, you’ll embark on your first game drive. Serengeti National. Park is famed for its endless plains and abundant wildlife, including the Big Five: lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinoceroses. During your evening game drive, you’ll have the opportunity to spot these majestic creatures and enjoy the park’s stunning sunset.

Accommodation options in Serengeti range from luxurious lodges to comfortable tented camps. Each offers a unique experience, from breathtaking views to intimate wildlife encounters right at your doorstep.
Day 2: Full Day Safari in Serengeti National Park
Morning Game Drive
Start your day early with a morning game drive in Serengeti. The early hours are ideal for spotting predators such as lions and cheetahs as they are most active at dawn. The park’s diverse habitats, including savannahs, woodlands, and riverine areas, support a rich array of wildlife.
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti’s vast landscapes are a highlight of the safari experience. The park is home to the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles migrate in search of greener pastures. Depending on the time of year, you might witness this awe-inspiring event.
Afternoon at Leisure
After a hearty lunch back at your lodge or camp, you’ll have some leisure time. Relax and soak in the surroundings or enjoy optional activities such as a visit to a Maasai village or a hot air balloon safari.
Evening Game Drive
Head out for another evening game drive to explore different areas of the park. As dusk falls, the park’s nocturnal animals become active, offering a chance to see species that are not often seen during the day.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater Excursion
Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you’ll drive to Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its remarkable biodiversity. The crater is a caldera formed by a collapsed volcano, creating a unique ecosystem with a high concentration of wildlife.
Game Drive in Ngorongoro Crater
Descend into the crater for a day of game viewing. The fertile soils and abundant water support a dense population of wildlife, including elephants, lions, buffaloes, and rhinos. The crater’s diverse environments, from grassy plains to woodlands, provide varied habitats for different species.
Picnic Lunch
Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated spot within the crater, offering stunning views and a chance to relax amidst the wildlife.
Return to Serengeti or Overnight in Ngorongoro
After your day in the crater, you can choose to return to Serengeti for the night or stay at a lodge in Ngorongoro. Staying in Ngorongoro offers the advantage of additional game viewing opportunities and a more relaxed pace.
Day 4: Departure
Final Game Drive and Breakfast
On your final morning, you might have time for one last game drive or a leisurely breakfast at your accommodation. This is a great opportunity to take in the final views of Tanzania’s breathtaking landscapes and wildlife.
Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport
After breakfast, you’ll be transferred back to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight. If time permits, you can explore Arusha or do some last-minute shopping before heading to the airport.
