6 Days Signature Gorillas Expedition
Trekking amongst the Mountain Gorillas in Parc National des Volcans is admittedly one of the most memorable experiences of a life time. However, Rwanda is also a country rich in history, culture and traditions and filled with other wildlife and nature that cannot be found anywhere else in the world! Having a chance to experience not only the nature but also the day-to-day life, habits, cultural traditions and local community efforts will give you a more focused sense of what this beautiful country is all about!
SAMPLE ITINERY
Day 1: Arrival into Kigali
On arrival into the Rwanda’s capital Kigali, you will get to experience this fast growing city, a drive through it provides you an opportunity to view one of the cleanest cities in Africa. Meet and greet with your tour guide and then transfer to your hotel. Overnight at the Retreat Kigali!

Day 2: City tour – Volcanoes national park
Breakfast at the hotel followed by a city tour of Kigali on which you will tour the Kigali genocide memorial site, Hotel Rwanda among other sites followed by a transfer to Volcanoes national park, your 2 hours and 30 minutes drive takes you to an amazing lodge tucked away in the foothills of the breath-taking scenery of the mountain ranges that make up Volcanoes national park.
Enjoy your home away from home experience at One & Only Gorilla Nest lodge (dinner and overnight).

Day 3: First Gorilla Trekking

Early morning transfer to Park offices for pre-Gorilla trek briefing for all guests Following your trek, on return after your trek you will visit The Gorilla Guardian’s village formally known is Ibyi’wacu Cultural Village, based in the community bordering Volcanoes national park.
At the village, you will have a wonderful, interactive experience, learning all about Rwandan traditions, culture, song and dance.
You will also have the opportunity to:

Sample local food and banana beer and visit a local household or school.

Visit some of the local community projects and co-operatives to see, first hand, how your travel with us contributes to making a difference in people's lives.
Dinner and overnight at One & Only Gorilla Nest lodge.

Day 4: Second Gorilla Trek
Early morning transfer to Park offices, again for pre-trek briefing for all guests, then shortly head out for your gorilla safari most likely visiting a different group from the previous day later after the amazing wild and fulfilling day, you will have time to relax off at the lodge as you indulge in this beautiful facility and soak up the
special atmosphere.
With a shimmering infinity pool looking above the canopy of green, the spectacular One&Only Spa with a wealth of treatments creating a rich wellness experience, drawing from the traditional African wisdom.
Dinner and overnight at One & Only Gorilla Nest lodge.

Day 5: Third Gorilla Trek
Early morning transfer to Park offices, again for pre-trek briefing for all guests, then shortly head out for your gorilla safari most likely visiting a different group from the previous day.
Later relax off the evening at the lodge, dinner and overnight at One & Only Gorilla nest lodge.

Day 6: Transfer to Kigali
Am, breakfast at the lodge and then depending on your flight time
transfer to the airport for your flight back home.

A professional English, French, Spanish, mandarin or Germany
speaking tour guide, accommodation on full board basis, safari 4x4, Kigali city tour, airport transfers, 3 gorilla permits per person, visit to the gorilla guardian’s village, park entry fees, drinking water and tourism
taxes.

All items of personal expenditure such as entry visas, tips, telephone

how much does a gorilla trekking permit cost?
We all love gorillas, don't we? In fact, gorilla permits are extremely popular and tend to sell out quickly.
To ensure you don't miss out, we kindly request an overall 50% deposit payment at time of booking and balance to be paid at least 40 days prior to the trip start date.
