Officially known as the republic of Rwanda, is a landlocked country found in Eastern Africa and particularly in the great rift valley of central Africa. The country lies a few degrees south of the Equator and is bordered by 4 countries; that is Uganda, Burundi, Tanzania and Democratic republic of Congo.





Popularly known for its rolling hills, amazing nature, unique hospitality, lakes, rivers among other attractions the country is a proud hotspot for bird watching with over 703 bird species and 29 Albertine endemics. The most commonly known birders paradise destinations are Nyungwe Forest National Park and of course Akagera National Park which has the highest concentration of bird species in the entire country. On a birding safari in Akagera you have chances of viewing birds like; the Long tailed cisticola, White- browed coucal, Brown- chested lapwing, Red faced cisticola, African fish eagle, to mention but a few!
